  1. Print and laminate the color sorting mats.
  2. Sort pom poms by color into trays or a divided container.
  3. Place tweezers beside each mat.
  4. Optional: Add labels or color words for early reading practice.

HOW TO SET-UP / HOW TO USE:

  1. Place one or more color mats on the table.
  2. Provide a tray of mixed pom poms.
  3. Demonstrate how to use the tweezers to pick up a pom pom.
  4. Show children how to match the pom pom to the correct color on the mat.
  5. Let them explore and complete the activity independently or with guidance.
